locked in a storage facility. thousands of mammogram results sitting somewhere. some woman have been trying to get their files for months. shannon wehnken joins me now. >> reporter: i have. today i went on the hunt to find the former medical director of the facility. this is the man that but i found things may not be what they seem. >> reporter: it has been nearly a year since this center abruptly closed and a growing number of women are turning to me for help getting their records back. >> hi. >> reporter: center owner tells me he locked the records in a storage facility. he admits he is overwhelmed. he meets some women with records others hear nothing. the state officials say someone

files. the former medical director. dr.henry. i spent the day trying to track him down and finally found him at a new job. >> so you don't feel you are responsible. >> correct. >> reporter: he has a pretty good explanation. you see, state health officials list dr. henry as the last medical director of women's diagnostic but he left 7 months before the doors. a new medical director was never listed. >> the state might of had my name but i was not working there at that time. >> does that responsibility leave with your employment? >> good question. i don't know the answer to that. >> he feels terrible about what happened to his former patients. >> did you know how he was
